During these unpredictable #coronavirus times that we're currently living through, it's very easy to get caught up with our own lives and our own problems that it's harder to imagine that there are so many others out there in a much less fortunate position than ourselves.
At times like these, it's important to remember that we all have a role to play. Whether it's checking in virtually with your loved ones, donating to those less fortunate or even as simple as staying at home to protect those around you.
At Astra Group, we have been thinking about how we can play our part to give to those who are in a completely different situation to the majority of us. Those that do not have the privilege of self-isolation, delivery or even just basic necessities.
So we organised one of our team members, Valerie, who is currently isolating with her family in the provinces in The Philippines to meet with the 'baragay' (the commander of the village) to gather food packages and to deliver them around.

As the world is realising, now, more than ever we need to stand together, to support one another and remember that all of our actions come with consequences and will always affect someone else, whether that's for the good or for the bad.
This is now a time where you can choose how you'd like to show up in the world and how you want to impact others (no matter how big or how small the gesture)
We will emerge from this crisis. And when this is all over, we can only hope that the compassion that is growing in so many people's hearts, the feelings that define the most humble features of humanity, will stay with us. Because there is still much to do and more than ever, we must stand together.
